About Me
I'm Ameen Ahsen Bin Sathar
I am a final/fifth year Physics major with a minor in Mathematics from one of the leading science institute, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM). I enjoy doing many of all things, take a look.

It's ultimately mesmerizing how ideas make life prettier and at the same time terrible (2021)
Most of the innocent souls are unable to notice the minute turners in their life which actually affect their time-to-time events and becomes their fate (2021)
Do you know how the world runs for everyone? Well , it takes timed memories to witness that it just flows as of an ultra-streamline current soothing yourself and absorbs, adsorps, dissolves and exorbs elements in you which in turn expressed, express and will express you in your flow (2022)

Cognitive Bias is actually something, you know. Just imagine what all these guys are missing out in a philosophical level! (2025)
First, you have the power of choice, then it is certain you can (should?) possess the -spectral thinking- for each of the choices which you face in any aspects of life, both being infinitely probable (2023)
Even when the mirror is gone, the reflection is still yours to keep (2023)

Projects & Internships

Hierarchical Likelihood and PN Methods for SMBBH OJ287 Blazar — Masters Thesis
TIFR-M, Mumbai & IISER Thiruvananthapuram | 2026–Present | India
Working with Prof. A. Gopakumar and Dr. Abhimanyu Susobhanan on the OJ287 supermassive binary black hole system. The project focuses on post-Newtonian orbital dynamics, hierarchical likelihood methods, light-curve modelling of the central engine, and the possible connection between OJ287 and nanohertz gravitational-wave signals.
Multi-wavelength Study of Blazar Variability — Internship
Mt Abu Observatory, PRL Ahmedabad (Remote) | 2026–Present | India
Under the guidance of Prof. Sunil Chandra, this work involves CCD detector instrumentation, telescope systems, real-time AGN/blazar observations, data calibration using AstroImageJ, and Python-based photometric and light-curve analysis.
Modification of Ray-tracing Code for Testing GR near Non-Kerr Black Holes — Internship
Fudan University, Shanghai (Remote) | 2025 | China
Worked with Prof. Cosimo Bambi on modifying the BLACKRAY code to investigate relativistic spectra around non-Kerr black holes described by the Johannsen metric. The project strengthened my understanding of general relativity, accretion-disk models, relativistic calculations, and scientific programming.
Critical Behaviour of Cascading Networks — Project
IISER Thiruvananthapuram | 2025 | India
Conducted under Dr. Senthilkumar, this project explored concepts in network science and graph theory, leading to a potentially publishable result in Tuning robustness in spatial networks cascading failures.
Investigation on Halo Merger Histories — Internship
NIT Calicut | 2024 | India
Worked with Prof. Rajesh Mondal on exploring the ΛCDM cosmological model and studying the time evolution of dark-matter halos using C-based simulation codes. The project provided experience in computational cosmology, particle-mesh universe modelling, and the theoretical foundations of large-scale structure formation.
